CURE Childhood Cancer is committed to furthering education on issues surrounding childhood cancer in many different ways:
- To ensure that families battling childhood cancer and survivors as well as the community at large are educated about important current issues, we publish on a Quarterly basis The CURE Report, a newsletter distributed to more than 16,000 homes and businesses.
- To ensure that the nurses and family support team members who care for our children and family are able to attend the extra training sessions they need in order to provide the best, most skilled and compassionate care, we provide continuing education opportunities for them.
- To ensure that the fellows, young doctors training to become pediatric oncologists, also receive the ongoing training they need, we fully fund the continuing education of all fellows at the Aflac Cancer Center/Emory./li>
- To ensure the Spanish speaking childhood cancer population receives the education they need, we provide translated materials and a Hispanic Health Education program.
