Cure Childhood Cancer

CURE Childhood Cancer Events

While our primary focus is on funding research, an important part of our mission is continued support for families who have been touched by childhood cancer. Every year, we host a number of events to help create a strong support network for families of children battling cancer – all while raising money for CURE.

Our five annual events take time out to honor courageous families and special children alike.

A Tribute to Our Quiet Heroes
Join us for our 11th annual “A Tribute to Our Quiet Heroes” luncheon on September 26, 2015, and help us honor mothers of children who have battled childhood cancer. Click here to learn more.
  Lauren’s Run

The annual event is hosted by CURE and presented by NCR, in memory of Lauren Zagoria and Lauren Kochman, both of whom lost their battle with cancer. Every year, thousands of runners and walkers participate in this special event. CURE Childhood Cancer Annual Picnic

Beginning at 10:45am on Sunday, April 26, 2015, the picnic offers an opportunity for reconnecting and simply-put, a day of fun.

Recognized as one of the premier social events in Atlanta, in 2014 more than 600 guests united for the inaugural Believe Ball, honoring Tom Glavine, and his wife Chris, for their dedication for finding a cure for pediatric cancer in our lifetime. Join us May 16, 2015 as we unite at the St. Regis Atlanta yet again to honor retired, award-winning 11Alive news anchor Jill Becker for her tireless dedication to curing childhood cancer, while raising needed research dollars to improve the survival of children fighting cancer.   CURE’s Kids Conquer Cancer One Day at a Time
Every September, our CURE’s Kids Conquer Cancer One Day at a Time initiative commemorates Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by honoring and remembering special children each and every day. By sharing their individual stories, we hope to inspire others to share our commitment to finding cures.

In addition to these events, CURE is fortunate to have the support of many many individuals, groups and organizations which raise money year after year through their own events in support of our mission.
