Every Thursday evening, CURE Childhood Cancer delivers meals to children fighting cancer and their families at both campuses of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. We provide a night of real food (not more hospital food or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches) and real support from our volunteers, many of whom have have been touched by childhood cancer in their own lives.
To keep our Open Arms dinners going, we need your help in one of two ways:
- Restaurant donors to provide food to serve approximately 65 people
- Sponsors to purchase food from local restaurants
For your generous donation of food to our Open Arms program, you’ll be recognized on our website, blog and Facebook page.

Open Arms At Lunch
Open Arms at Lunch is a little more hands-on than our dinners. Companies, groups and families have an opportunity to sponsor one lunch at both hospitals (approximate cost: $400) and provide 4-6 volunteers to help serve lunch to children with cancer and their families.
This is a great opportunity for companies to give back to the community in a substantial way at a small cost.

CURE Brown Bag Lunch Program
On the first and fourth Tuesday of every month, we deliver CURE lunch bags to parents of kids with cancer who are staying in the inpatient unit of either campus of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The little touch of home – and nourishment – go a long way for parents in the midst of a lengthy hospital stay.
How can you help?
Volunteer: Hold a food drive at your company, school service club, or group to collect the food items needed for the brown bag lunches and then assemble them. (We’ll provide the bags.)
Donate: A company, group or individual can sponsor a Brown Bag Lunch for a donation of $200.00.
Send a Note: Your child’s classroom or club or sports team can make cards of encouragement for the lunch sacks. Remember, these lunch sacks are for the parents and we are not permitted to deliver anything with a religious message.
