Lynn Crow Imagery Gives a Glimpse of the True Spirit of the Childhood Cancer Community

For many years, Lynn Crow of Lynn Crow Photography has supported CURE Childhood Cancer by donating her time and talents to capture timeless, exciting and heartfelt moments of annual CURE events like the Believe Ball, Lauren’s Run and Quiet Heroes. Most importantly, Lynn captures uplifting imagery of children, and their families, who are battling childhood cancer. More necessary than using these images on CURE’s website, Facebook page and promotional materials, Lynn’s imagery gives a glimpse of the true spirit of the childhood cancer community—strong, inspiring and united. The children photographed are just like any child–however these children have been faced to fight a devastating disease. And yet through all of this, as you may notice, they are still smiling!

Without Lynn and her contributions, we wouldn’t be able to communicate how precious these children are and how much they are in need of our support. This reality is much more than words can explain. We are excited to share with you some of the new photos Lynn has graciously taken for us to be used this year. Make sure to share these photos as you see them to spread word about childhood cancer and the need for research to find a cure in our lifetime.

Support of Local Photographer Stuns Many

Throughout the years, Lynn Crow Photography has supported CURE Childhood Cancer by generously donating her time and services. She has photographed many events, such as Lauren’s Run and Quiet Heroes, and has taken the pictures found on CURE’s website and promotional materials.

Below Kristin Connor, Executive Director of CURE, reflects on the relationship.

Our partnership with Lynn began several years ago when she offered to photograph one of our events. I don’t think either of us knew what was ahead.

Lynn has given so much over the years – so much of her time, of her incredible talent and of her heart. Yes, she has photographed many CURE events, but more importantly, she has captured timeless treasures…the faces of so many children with cancer…their laughter, their suffering, their smiles, their gratitude, their families, their love for each other.

I have called Lynn on many occasions to provide a lasting gift for families whose children are at the end of their lives. Lynn has never even once hesitated to give of herself. Often, she gives without us asking – just because she knows of a need and her heart won’t allow her NOT to give.

Her work is beautiful, breathtaking work. Her heart is beautiful and breathtaking, too. We could never express our gratitude to Lynn in words. There simply are no words to capture and convey how deeply we appreciate and love her.

Thank you, Lynn Crow, for all of your support throughout the years.

Lauren’s Run was a Huge Success!

Thank you for participating in the 18th Lauren’s Run and CURE Childhood Cancer Annual Picnic. Overall, our goal was to raise $125,000. The numbers are in and we’re excited to announce that the 2012 Lauren’s Run raised more than $161,000! That’s 38% more than in 2011!

What a spectacular day it was, with nearly 1500 runners, walkers and volunteers gathering to join forces to wage war against cancer in children. We loved seeing so many teams sporting special team t-shirts and enjoying the beautiful day together while furthering our important cause. Those teams led the way in pushing the event to new heights, both in terms of spirit and fundraising.

We would also like to say thank you to the many volunteers who worked hard to make the day such a success. We heard many families leaving the picnic saying “This was definitely the best Lauren’s Run and picnic ever!”  Because of each of you, our special event gets better every year!

Thank you to Lynn Crow for capturing the day with your photography. Click here to check out all of the photos.
