The Ride to Remember Casey-3rd Annual Charity Event to benefit CURE Childhood Cancer will be held on March 26, 2011.
This motorcycle ride, called a “poker run”, is to honor the memory of Casey Callaway who died on September 29, 2007 from complications caused by leukemia. The event is organized and sponsored by The American Legion Riders of Post 216 in Austell, Ga.
The public is invited to attend and will receive one poker hand for a $20.00 donation to CURE. Each additional hand is $10.00. The participants will start with the first card given out at the 216 Legion Post and ride to three stops to receive next three cards. Last card will be received back at the 216 Legion Post. The rider with the “best poker hand” wins.
This event will also feature a live band, raffle prizes, a 50/50 raffle and food and beverage available for purchase. Registration begins at 9:00am at American Legion Post 216, 3914 Ewing Road, Austell Ga. 30106. Riders will depart at 11:30 and return by 4:00.
